NZEMA ASSOCIATION OF ATLANTA SCHIOLARSHIP FUND
We know you are a proud and patriotic Nzema citizen of Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire. But did you know that the Nzema area is the richest in Ghana in terms of economic potentials and mineral resources – oil, natural gas, gold, diamond, cement, etc. and yet it is the least endowed in manpower potentials. A visit to the ongoing oil and natural gas industry in the Atuabo area shows that only a few Nzema citizens hold any senior positions there. Only few Nzema engineers and certified technicians can be found in this vital industrial sector. We need to rectify the situation and fast too.
That is why the Nzema Association of Atlanta is hereby calling on all Nzemas and Nzema-loving citizens in the United States and the Diaspora to contribute toward the already set up Scholarship Fund that will benefit all the 8 Senior Secondary Schools (SSS) in the three Districts – Jomoro, Ellembele, and Nzema East.
Your contribution of at least $5.00 a month ($60.00 or more a year) to this Special Scholarship Fund will help select the best three SSS students admitted to any of the Universities in Ghana. The program will initially sponsor three students selected through the West African Examination Council for a period of four years. By the end of four years, there will be a total of 12 university students being sponsored by the Fund.
Hopefully, by the year 2024 when all the aforementioned industries go into full operation, we would have had enough Nzema engineers, technicians, and specialists to take responsible positions in these vital economic sectors to make their views felt.
Be part of this game-changing program. Put your name on this history-writing list of sponsors to change the face of the Nzema education landscape by giving an annual tax-deductible donation of $60.00 or more to this Fund. Please, take advantage of this tax-return season to make your annual contribution or donation now.
To facilitate things for donors and contributors like you, a special bank account has been created at the Bank of America. Here is the account number: 3340 3618 6310. It is a deposit only account.
